Michael Miller

Michael Miller spent nearly 40 years in the media business with newspapers and television. He started his career as marketing director of several Thomson/Reuters-owned newspaper operations and then served for 22 years as publisher for five newspapers with Thomson & Media General newspaper companies. Early in 2014, Miller was recruited to return to Florence as the president of The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. He has served on the boards of many community organizations including Duke Energy’s State and Regional Advisory Boards, the Florence County Economic Development Partnership, the Florence Regional Airport Authority, the Florence Downtown Development Corporation, the Pee Dee Tourism Commission, and others.
