Johnathan G. Munn, Ph.D., was appointed Dean of the School of Business at Francis Marion University in 2025 and has held the Henry Booker Sparrow Chair of Economics and Economics Forecasting since 2017.
A faculty member at FMU since 2008, his teaching and research center on regional economic growth and innovation, with publications in journals such as the Journal of Economics and Finance and Papers in Regional Science.
He previously held a Moore Fellowship at the University of South Carolina, where he earned his doctorate.
A native of the Pee Dee, Munn maintains strong ties to the region through both his scholarship and community engagement.
