Jermaine Ford, Ed.D.

Jermaine Ford, Ed.D., was named president of Florence-Darlington Technical College in 2021, becoming the college’s fifth president. He has spent most of his career in higher education, working at DePaul University and South Louisiana Community College, among others, before joining FDTC. He created the Reimagining Florence-Darlington Technical College campaign soon after arriving, and the campaign has helped to rebuild the school’s organizational infrastructure and increasing visibility and engagement within the community. Ford serves on the National Associate for Community College Entrepreneurship Board, American Association of Community Colleges Commission on Structured Pathways, McLeod Healthcare board, and Florence County Economic Development Partnership board.
