Age 31

I’m Charlee Rhodes, a commercial loan officer with Anderson Brothers Bank. I built my career in nonprofit fundraising, business development, and recruitment, experiences that taught me the value of meaningful relationships. I teach yoga and Pilates, serve as president of Pee Dee Women, am a member of the Florence County United Way board, and a member of the Juneteenth Fest of the Pee Dee board. My long-term goal is to be known as the best local business banker in the Pee Dee, not because of the size of the loans I close, but because of the relationships I build and the service I provide. I believe banking is about believing in people and helping them build something meaningful. The Pee Dee has shaped who I am, and I want to serve, invest in, and help grow this region for generations to come. I want to help build the house that built me.

Favorite Quote and Why: “You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.” – Wayne Gretzky. This quote reminds me to go for it, and don’t hold back. Even if it blows up in your face, you will know you gave it your all-and got bloody in the arena! Not everyone can say that.

Definition of a Successful Leader: A leader isn’t a leader without people choosing to follow them. A successful leader respects and values their team. They cheer people on until they are blue in the face, and they give tough feedback when it’s not popular. Great leaders make you want to be better, the best leaders make you want to run right through a wall for them.

Advice to 18-Year-Old Self: Try harder, do more, don’t doubt yourself, stay away from relationships, focus on your friends while they are single with no kids, spend all of your free money on traveling outside of the country.
