Kimberly Bailey is a project director with Brasfield & Gorrie in Greenville, South Carolina, bringing 21 years of leadership in commercial construction. In her role, she has helped shape projects that have made a meaningful impact on the Upstate community across health care, education, aviation, office, and mixed-use sectors. She is recognized for building high-performing teams, strengthening client partnerships, and delivering strong results, while also serving as a dedicated community leader.
My greatest strength as a leader is balancing empathy, values, and execution. I build trust by understanding people, lead with fairness and consistency, and stay focused on meaningful results. While I’m quick to extend grace to others, I don’t always offer that same grace to myself, especially when high standards and a strong sense of ownership lead me to shoulder a lot of responsibility for the success of our team.
One thing I try to stay mindful of is complacency. As a leader, I do not want to stop growing, pushing myself, or aiming higher, because that can affect not just my performance, but the example I set for others. I manage it by staying open to feedback, setting high standards, and always looking for ways to improve both myself and the team.
